The July meeting is here and we are going to address those looking for funds to get their business off the ground or taking it to the next level.

Ron Fisher from the support center will be showing us what we need to get the funding that the bank may not be willing to help us with.

They are a non- profit that specializes in small business loans and will share methods of getting funding in the current business scene.

Ron Fisher Bio:

Ron Fisher is the Business Development Officer for The Support Center in Charlotte, NC. He has worked in this role since the beginning of 2013. Prior to his current role, he served as Senior Vice President for First Union National Bank (now Wells Fargo). Following a 25-year career with First Union, he operated his own consulting firm for 12 years providing business coaching and financial consulting services to the CDFI Fund, Universities, financial institutions, small business owners and non-profit economic development organizations in North and South Carolina.

His commercial banking background includes real estate portfolio management, housing program design, small business lending and economic development lending. He is a graduate of NC Central University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Brian MacDonald:

Dr. Brian MacDonald is an experienced US patent agent and has written hundreds of patent applications. Brian was a US patent examiner and has also worked for a commercial patent search agency. He can explain the necessary parts of a patent application and how to do some basic searching to find out what technologies related to your ideas are already patented or are the subjects of pending applications.

Then you go through the fence and down the driveway. The front door is located on the left side. Once you go in follow the hall way to the end then go through the door and turn left to the meeting room door.
