Jeremy Proffitt will be speaking with the group about his experience with the “Internet Of Things” IOT.

As the internet begins to be a part of our lives more and more. We must understand what it will take to meet the demands of tomorrow. Jeremys invaluable insight into the future market will give the group a look into the future that is right before us.

Jeremys BIO:

An accomplished “Renaissance Geek”, Jeremy has a broad background as a technologist and currently serves as Lending Tree’s lead Senior Site Reliability Engineer and as a board member of the Charlotte Internet of Things group where we is responsible for civic outreach which delivers life changing technology to the disabled build during Hackathons.

Jeremy is an avid 3d printer, Internet of Things (IOT) and Alexa enthusiast having released multiple Alexa applications and contributed to many open source projects. Jeremy has even been featured on Amazon’s TV Show 3D Print the Future and often presents on a diverse assortment of topics from Alexa and Arduino to Enterprise logging and alerting. Some call him a Rock Star but for Jeremy, it’s just about never stopping with the thinking or the doing.

Last Meeting – October 2018

Scott Tarcy is an engineer with 8 years of experience in product design. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA from ECU. He has worked for manufacturers in consumer products (Tetra) and appliance products (BSH Home Appliances). He has 4 patents pending from my time at BSH and has years of experience in various CAD platforms.

Invite other inventors, engineers, entrepreneurs, financiers, professors, manufactures and anyone else that would enjoy the process and business of product development. Knowledge is power!!

Then you go through the fence and down the driveway. The front door is located on the left side. Once you go in follow the hall way to the end then go through the door and turn left to the meeting room door.
